One of the most familiar images of the Olympics is that of the five rings printed on white satin flags, snapping in the wind during the opening parade. Colorful fabric banners are an attention-getting method of communicating messages, from personal celebrations to promotional advertising. Banners can be mounted (using basic carpentry) both indoors and outdoors, anywhere from a convenient wall to street poles. Signs range in size from smaller, single-room-sized to enormous, super-scale banners. Graphics are added using digital printing or silkscreen processes, on fabrics such as vinyl, canvas, nylon or even satin. Most banner production companies will provide either indoor or outdoor banners for both individuals and commercial clients.
