A building that houses certain types of gambling games and activities is called a casino. Casinos usually offer a variety of gambling opportunities, some which are machine-oriented, and while others are games of chance involving human interaction. For example, machine-oriented games include slot machines and video poker or other video gambling games. Human-oriented games include those played with decks of cards, such as blackjack, poker, Pai Gow, and baccarat. Still others utilize dice, such as craps, or other gaming apparatus such as a roulette wheel. Casino games typically provide a predictable long-term advantage to the casino (referred to as “the house”), while providing players with the possibility of a large short-term payout.
