Usually these fee schedules are based on the zip code to which delivery is to be made. Delivery services often specialize in the commodity that will be delivered and have vans and trucks to support the delivery of that commodity. For example, a grocery delivery service may have trucks with compartments to keep frozen foods at the proper temperature during transportation or a flower delivery service will have vehicles specially equipped to keep flowers cool so that they are fresh and fragrant upon delivery.
