There are many different services a person might have done by a mechanic that specializes in motorcycle and motor-scooter service and repair. An owner of a motorcycle or motor-scooter may take their vehicle to a motorcycle and motor-scooter repair and service center if they need new tires, for an oil change or if they need a specific part of their vehicle fixed or replaced. In states that require yearly inspections of motor vehicles, many motorcycle and motor-scooter repair centers are authorized to perform the safety and emission tests required by law. Some service centers for motorcycles and motor-scooters will service and repair all kinds of motorcycles and motor-scooters, but some may only work on select brands or models of motorcycles. An owner of a unique or foreign motorcycle or motor-scooter may need to contact a service center that specializes in the repair and service of their kind of motorcycle or motor-scooter.
