One of the easiest ways for colleges and universities' athletic programs to scope out prospective talent is to contact local baseball clubs and find out about upcoming programs. Sometimes local clubs will organize grand slam tournaments, where players can rack up points for hitting home runs. Another great way for colleges to see talent is to attend local baseball tournaments and witness how players react against good competition; sometimes players will truly rise to the challenge in a tough game, and have a breakthrough performance. There are usually local baseball clubs that work hard to demonstrate their members' talent to the next level of competition, and some of these clubs are quite competitive to enter. If your community does not have such an organization, then you can usually demonstrate your talent by participating on your school's baseball team.
