When people want to play basketball for competition and for fun they often join a basketball club. Many basketball clubs are basically basketball leagues. Different basketball clubs cater to basketball players of different abilities, ages and genders. Some basketball clubs are highly competitive and allow only players of high ability to join. Some basketball clubs are geared towards players who just want to have a good time and may not be all that good at basketball. Some basketball clubs are open to all ages while others only allow players of certain ages to join. Some basketball clubs are for men only while others are for women only.
