Companies that publish magazines are magazine publishers. There are many different kinds of magazine publishers just as there are many different kinds of magazines. Some magazine publishers specialize in just publishing one magazine or that publish one flagship magazine along with variants of the flagship magazine. Other magazine publishers publish many kinds of magazines that target very different demographics, such as a magazine publisher that publishes a weekly news magazine, a monthly women's magazine, a weekly sports magazine and a dozen other magazines. Some magazine publishers specialize in publishing magazines that are very much alike, such as a magazine publisher that only publishes women's magazines, or a magazine publisher that only publishes supermarket tabloids.
