Many people who practice skydiving and parachute jumping would tell you that they do it because it is the closest one can get to the dream of flying. Some experienced skydivers and parachute jumpers have said that while in freefall one can do anything a bird can do, except go back up. Most skydivers and parachute jumpers learn to jump at a skydiving or parachuting center, where they take a course of instruction in the skills needed to safely jump out of an aircraft and successfully deploy their parachute. Some skydivers make their first jump with an experienced and trained instructor in the form of a tandem dive, in which the two jumpers are attached and the instructor controls the jump and the parachute.
