Many people do embroidery by hand using a needle and thread. However, some people will use a sewing machine or electric embroidery tool to do embroidery. Some embroidery, such as mass-produced clothing, will be done using an embroidery machine. Many people do embroidery as a hobby and use embroidery as a creative outlet to make individual pieces, such as table linens, tray cloths, towels and bedding, for friends and family. The materials used for embroidery projects can be made of just about anything that is evenly woven. Some people work on embroidery while doing other things like listening to the radio or watching television.
