I am looking for someone that has a PROZONE AREA MODEL
AIR PURIFIER. The outside dimensions of this unit is 6" x 6" x 2 1/2". I am seriously considering purchasing this unit. |

Hello ... Has anyone who has asked about the Prozone Air Filter since found out about its effectiveness ???
I just received a mailing from BioTechResearch and the Prozone sounds very good, but I am skeptical.
Thanks, Ginger |

| Yes, I have one. It was a gift and we used it for the first time last night. We placed it on top of our refrigerator and have left it running. I noticed a marked difference this morning when I awoke. We have three dogs and one cat so you can imagine no matter how hard you work at keeping them and your home clean you cannot escape all odors. The air in our home seems crisp and clean now. The morning odor of three dogs sleeping in a closed bedroom was not present this morning as it usually is. I am very impressed, so far. |

Yes we received one yesterday and ran it for about four
Hours and had to turn it off. It put out a bad smell that burns
Your nose and the smell just lingers. Today I put it in a room
In the basement and let it run another four hours while I was
Gone. When I got back the strong smell was there again and
Had to turn it off and air the basement out with outside air. The instructions said it would smell from the glue used in the
Construction of the unit and would go away in a very short time. After eight hours it was still as strong as ever. We are
Going to send it back. Could not find anything on the internet
That had done any testing to show anything positive. Hope
This helps somebody. |

| I do not have a Prozone purifier but I know that it operates on the principle of generating ozone, which is very controversial in itself. I suggest you do not commit yourself to this particular model and techonology until you carefully study the ozone issue. (You will get lots of google links.) The FDA has already gone after one ozone generator purifier company for making unverifiable health claims. But the real issue is not whether ozone purifiers are beneficial but whether they are in fact harmful. |

| Ernie (03/07/05): raises as an issue that ozone air purifiers are harmful. How so? Would breathing a low concentration of ozone all night harm me? I do not have asthma but do have chronic nasal congestion. I am presently using an ionic air purifier around the clock in my bedroom, but not getting rid of odors. |

I was considering one until I found the EPA site concerning ozone generators at this link

I got one and it works great !! A drastic change in the smell in my house. I even put it in a room where people were smoking and the cigaret smell just disappeared... It feels great and feels healthy.
If it works and is cheap..I am sure ..someone would criticize it.. Realize we live in a world that drugs kids if they are too energetic..there are alternative Drs that use ozone.
Sincerely,
Roberto |
