A telegraph service uses a machine for transmitting and receiving messages over long distances, i.e. for telegraphy. Telegraph service can be used for priority message notification, contract cancellation, international messaging, as well as a myriad of other telegraphic services. While there are other methods of communication today, telegraph service messages, also known as telegrams, have some distinct advantages. They are timely messages delivered by a neutral third party, avoiding direct confrontation. Unlike emails, telegraph service messages are legal and binding, and time and date stamped. Telegraph service messages can be hand delivered, phoned in, or routed through the postal system. They can also be delivered to the recipient with a request for signature as well as proof of delivery.
