Clinical Therapeutic Massage
Here at Clinical Therapeutic Massage we offer some of the same safe and effective massage therapy that is used by massage therapist in hospital`s. It is a "complementary" way to cope with surgery, disease symptoms and side effects of medical treatment. It can reduce patient`s pain, stress, tension, nausea, anxiety, anger and depression. It is gentle work that supports, nourishes and strengthens the immune system and bodily organs. Sessions may include gentle touch, massage, acupressure, reflexology, myofascial release or lymphatic drainage. These techniques are used separately or in combination to formulate each individual’s specific needs to improve the quality of life. For those with chronic pain, chronic fatigue, those who are having trouble sleeping at night or having trouble getting rid of their cold, stress, expectant mothers who are on complete bed rest, women with benign fibrocystic breast, infants who constantly cry and those who have had surgery or oral surgery.
Massage sessions range from 30, 60 or 90 minutes and range from $45 to $110. For Inpatient & Outpatient services can be provided in the patient’s room or treatment area. Patients must have a doctor`s order for the service when calling to schedule an appointment. It is recommended to check with their health plans on whether and how such services are covered
For people with cancer, comfort oriented massage or touch is available regardless of the severity of their condition, with in- and out- patients receiving treatment for cancer. Massage can be given before, during, or after chemotherapy, radiation, diagnostic procedures, pre- and post-surgery and during bone marrow transplantation but must have a doctor`s order for the service when calling to schedule an appointment. The goal of treatment is to reduce the side effects of treatment and assist the client in the transformational journey of healing and wholeness. Clients remain gowned and/or covered. They are evaluated by their health status and medical treatment to determine lotion application, type and pressure of massage and their positioning in the bed. Clients should give the therapist feedback about their comfort level.
