Hot dog and hamburger stands are small restaurants that specialize in selling hot dogs or hamburgers or hot dogs and hamburgers. Most hot dog stands sell several kinds and sizes of franks, wieners and sausages as well as chips and drinks. Some hot dog stands sell chili dogs, fries and cheese dogs. Most hamburger stands sell cheeseburgers, fries, chips and drinks. Many hot dog stands and hamburger stands only have walk-up service. Some hot dog and hamburger stands have drive-up service and some of them have indoor seating areas. Hot dog and hamburger stands are common in areas of high foot traffic such as boardwalks.
