Some machine shop equipment and tool makers and manufacturers specialize in manufacturing several kinds of machine shop tools and several different kinds of machining equipment. Other machining tool and equipment manufacturers specialize in making specific kinds of tools or specific pieces of equipment. Lathe manufacturers specialize in making lathes. Drill manufacturers specialize in making drills. Punch manufacturers specialize in making punches. Jig saw manufacturers specialize in producing jig saws. Die manufacturers specialize in making dies. There are some machining tool manufacturers that custom-make and custom-manufacture machining tools.
