Currency exchanges may be set up to handle many different currencies such as, United States Dollars, British Pounds Sterling, Japanese Yen, Swiss Francs, German Deutschmarks, and Australian Dollars. A currency exchange may handle a variety of transactions, which include bank transfers, traveler's checks, credit card transactions, debit transactions, and bank checks. Currency exchanges may charge a fee for exchanging currency. The currency exchange fee may be a percentage of the money exchanged from one form to another.
