Depending on the activity, proper safety equipment and clothing might include safety glasses or goggles to protect the eyes; safety vests to protect the torso; work gloves to protect the hands; hearing protection to guard against hearing loss due to loud noises; respirators to protect the lungs from harmful substances in the air; head protection such as hats, helmets or caps to protect the head; and ergonomics safety equipment and clothing such as lifting belts, wrist supports, anti-vibration gloves, elbow pads, knee and ankle supports, and knee pads.
