Bottled water sold in bulk by water companies is tested on a regular basis to be certain that it does not contain any harmful parasites or bacteria. Bottled water must be taken from approved sources or else a water company cannot sell it. There are several kinds of bottled water that can be sold in bulk by water companies, and they include spring water, mineral water, and drinking or mineral water. Bottled mineral water has more minerals than bottled spring water. Bottled water sold in bulk must not contain any additives or sweeteners and must be sugar and calorie free or water companies cannot sell it. Before water is bottled and sold in bulk by water companies, the water must be filtered and tested.
