When people want new cabinets for their kitchens or bathrooms they often get them from a custom cabinet maker or at a cabinet retailer. When people want their kitchen cabinets or their bathroom cabinets resurfaced, they hire a cabinet resurfacing firm to do the work. Many custom cabinet makers have built-to-order cabinetry were they can build the style of cabinets a customer wants in the size and dimensions that they need. Built-to-order cabinet companies usually allow the customer to choose from wood finishes, metallic finishes, or monochromatic finishes; from solid doors or glass doors; and from different handle styles and cabinetry sizes. Most custom cabinet companies install cabinets. Some cabinets are bought at retailers and have been pre-made. Some retailers will install the pre-made cabinets.
