When people have trouble meeting other people or are tired of trying to meet people in places like bars, they may want to contact a dating service. A dating service may have clients fill out applications that tell prospective dates about them and say what they are looking for in a prospective date. The dating service may then try to build profiles of all of their members and try to match each one with a member that has a similar profile. Some dating services may videotape their members talking about themselves so they can be pre-screened by their prospective dates.
