When a producer needs an actor for television, film or stage work, they often call talent agencies and casting services to find the right actor. When an ad agency needs a model or actor for a print ad or television commercial, they too call talent agencies and casting directors to find the person right for the ad. Actors and models who are looking for advertising, film, stage or television work sign up with talent agencies and casting services in order to land a job. Some talent agencies specialize in representing and finding print models; some specialize in representing and finding stage actors; some specialize in representing and finding television and film actors; and some talent agencies specialize in representing and finding commercial actors.
