Tank testing and inspection is standard practice when a property is bought or sold. To verify whether a tank is corroded, leaking, or damaged, the tank is inspected and tested. Tank inspections and tests should determine whether or not the tank should be removed from the premises, repaired, or replaced. Once the tank testing and inspection is completed, the results are analyzed according to EPA guidelines. Underground fuel tanks are a common cause for concern and may be tested or inspected at any time is a problem is suspected. The soil surrounding a tank may also be inspected and tested as this will help to determine if the tank is leaking.
