When anglers need to buy bait, they often head to a bait shop. Bait shops often specialize in selling bait specific to the type of fishing popular in an area. If an area is popular for bass fishing, then the bait shops their will likely sell the baits, lures and jigs that tend to catch bass. In areas where fly fishing is popular bait shops are often usurped by fly shops that specialize in selling tied flies. In coastal areas bait shops will specialize in selling bait for deep sea fishing. Many bait shops also sell fishing poles, fishing rods, different gauges of fishing line, live bait, night crawlers, crickets, minnows fishing weights, tackle boxes, fishing reels and other fishing equipment.
