In order to find an inexpensive alternative to living in a site built home in a traditional neighborhood, many potential homeowners will choose to purchase a manufactured home and have it placed in a manufactured housing community. Manufactured housing units are usually assembled in a factory and then shipped to their desired location, and are usually much less expensive than traditional homes. Because manufactured homes usually do not come with a lot to put it on, many people will choose to purchase a lot in a manufactured housing community alongside other manufactured housing units. Manufactured housing communities will often either rent or sell individual plots or lots and will often provide homeowners with access to water, electric and septic systems for their home.
