Landscape designers provide the client with sketches of possible layouts for outdoor spaces, such as gardens and patios. Most landscape designers will provide the client with blueprints that include a plants list to complete a landscaping project. Landscape designers may also make suggestions for irrigation, drainage, walls and fences, driveways and walkways, gazebos, fountains and ponds, fire pits and outdoor lighting options. Landscape designers may offer the client different styles of landscaping, such as Mediterranean, Spanish-Desert, Oriental, Formal English, or Informal country. The suggestions of landscape designers often take into consideration special local climate conditions, such as heavy seasonal rain or drought.
