Oil producers are companies that specialize in drilling for oil and producing petroleum products. Natural gas producers are companies that specialize in drilling for natural gas, producing natural gas, and, sometimes, distributing natural gas. Some energy companies are both oil producers and natural gas producers while other oil producers only produce oil and drill for oil and some natural gas producers only produce natural gas and drill for natural gas. Some oil producers and natural gas producers are regional companies that operate in fields located in one specific region. Other oil producers and natural gas producers drill for oil or natural gas all over the world and are among the world's largest and most powerful corporations. Some oil producers also refine oil and sell refined petroleum products such as gasoline. Some natural gas producers are also natural gas distributors.
