There are many, many different kinds of youth associations out there. Some youth associations are geared toward at-risk youth and work to steer these kids away from drugs, crime and vice. Other youth associations target all kinds of kids and work to get kids involved in the community. Other youth associations are political groups that work to get kids involved in politics and work to indoctrinate members to a political ideal. Some youth associations are affiliated with churches or religious organizations. Some youth associations are athletic in nature and serve as youth sports leagues or a collection of leagues. Some youth associations are open only to kids of certain ages or certain genders.
