When people want to become barbers, they go to a barber school, a barber college or a barber academy to learn the trade. At barber colleges people learn how to cut hair and shave men's faces. Although most people think of barbers as people who cut only men's hair, barber colleges also teach students how to but women's hair. At barber college, people learn how to cut hair with scissors, razors and clippers. Barber colleges differs from cosmetology schools in that barber colleges focuses solely on hair and facial hair cutting while cosmetology school also teaches how to do nails and other things. Some beauty schools feature barber courses. Some barber schools only teach barber classes while others also offer cosmetology degrees.
