When working parents have children who are either too young for school, on school vacation, who need watching after school they turn to child care facilities. Child care facilities specialize in watching children when parents have to work or have obligations that take them away from their kids. Sometimes child care facilities are called “day cares” other times they are referred to as child care centers. Some child care centers specialize in watching infants, babies and toddlers. Some child care facilities specialize in watching older elementary school children. Some child care facilities specialize in watching children with either special needs, developmental disabilities; emotional challenges; physical handicaps or health problems. Some day cares are run out of homes and some out of commercial spaces.
