While computer software is frequently and readily created, modified and erased, the computer's hardware is not as frequently changed. Once a computer has been constructed, the computer's hardware may undergo some modifications, for example, by adding memory or storage, upgrading to newer versions of hardware, and adding peripherals such as printers, zip drives, network cards, scanners, gaming devices such as joysticks, etc. Computers and their peripherals also need various supplies, such as printer paper and cartridges, CD's and floppy disks, compressed-air keyboard cleaners, cables, and replacement parts. Computer hardware and supplies can be purchased from a variety of wholesale and retail dealers.
