How to find or choose concessionaires
Concessionaires are people who own or operate a concession stand, whether on the street, at a carnival or fair, a community event or other public place. Some concession stands offer a single or large array of food items. Concessionaires sell such items as popcorn, hot dogs, candy, corn dogs, caramel apples, juices and drinks, cotton candy, cola, soda, burgers, shaved ice, ice cream and fries and other snack items. You can find concessionaires at sporting events, theater lobbies, malls, a trailer or portable cart, parking lots, fairs, airport, public parks, building windows and on city sidewalks. Each concessionaire is an independently owned company or business. Concessionaires are typically represented by national associations, groups that support the food and beverage concession industry. Concessionaires are often seen at baseball parks and other sports events, children's events, large conventions, cafes, and basically wherever there is a crowd. Commercial concessionaires must have the proper licensing for equipment including signs and truck and tents and popcorn popper, retail license, contracts and cooking machine equipment such as a trailer in order to operate a concession stand in a public place. To find concessionaires, look in your local phone book or check online directory listings. Using the Internet, type in key words outlining your requirements to return a list of related companies. In determining their amount of experience, ask the companies how long they have been in business. Ask them for references in determining their reliability. Ask them what levels of customer service they can offer you. So whether you are looking to buy a trailer, procure a cotton candy machine rental, or you want to buy snack food, ice cream or other concessionaries, make sure you choose the concessionaries company that will work for you.
