How to Choose Contact Lenses
Those who are near sighted but do not like wearing glasses might be able to use contact lenses instead. Even if you were once told by your doctor that you could not wear contact lenses because you have astigmatism, some of today’s contacts might allow you to wear them. When you contact your optometrist, you should be sure to ask him or her about the different types of contact lenses that you might need. Ask them if it is safe for you to wear color lenses, bifocals, and extended wear lenses. Bifocals will allow you to have two different prescriptions in each lens that you can focus on, unlike mono vision lenses that only have one prescription per. Color lenses can change the color of your eyes. You might also be able to choose between disposables like monthly and dailies. Ask the optometry specialist if you need hard or soft lenses. You might need one or the other depending on the ways that your eyes are shaped. If you like your contact lenses, then you might want to buy them from a wholesaler so that you can get a discount on bulk orders. You should always remember, though, that vision degradation is common over time, so even if you have a large number of extended wear contact lenses, you should still visit your doctor regularly. Ask the companies if they include tonic for your contact lenses or if you have to order it separately. The tonic helps keep your contacts clean and moist.

There are many different types of contact lenses that a person can choose from. Extended wear lenses allow people to use the lenses for an extended period of time, rather than dailies which need to be changed every day. Bifocals are useful for people who need bifocal glasses that have two different prescriptions in the same lense. Toric lenses can be used by people with astigmatism. Some contact lenses can't be worn by people with astigmatism, but toric lenses are shaped so that those with astigmatism can wear them. Color contact lenses can be used to change a person's eye color. This can be useful for those who are unhappy with the color of their eyes or who might want to change their color for certain occasions.
