District Judges may be appointed by the President of the United States and then confirmed by the United States Senate in accordance with the United States Constitution. Some judges might not have to be appointed or confirmed per the United States Constitution. There may be more than 100 United States district courts. District judges that are appointed by the process described in the United States Constitution may not be fired but can me impeached by the House of Representatives with an agreement from the Senate. Most District judges may stay at that position until the resign or die. Judges may work in their district as long as they do well.
