Large and small companies that are worried about their employees' well-being and mental health will frequently contact an employee assistance program. If an employee is suffering from excessive stress, depression, or substance abuse problems, they may be able to get some help from an employee assistance program. If communications at a workplace are overly hostile, ineffective or otherwise affecting workplace performance, an employer may contact an employee assistance program that can help their employees find new and better ways to communicate with each other. Many employee assistance programs offer on-site help and counseling, while others may ask their clients to travel to their offices.
