Landowners who do not want to operate their farm or farms sometimes hire farm management services to do the job for them. Some farmers hire farm management services to manage a certain aspect of their farm's operation. Some farm management services specialize in managing dairy farms or aspects of dairy farms while others mostly work with grain farms, hog farms, chicken farms, cattle ranches, vegetable farms, or fruit farms and orchards. Farm management services can manage the entirety of a farm's operations. Farm management systems can also manage certain aspects of a farm' operations such as marketing the commodities and products produced on the farm; real estate matters; government subsidy procurement; hiring farm hands; hiring farm managers or operators; negotiating leases; soil testing; and building maintenance. Farm management services can also act as farm consultants and can provide consulting services to farmers, ranchers and producers.
