Fish farms may be looked at as a form of aquaculture or other methods may fall under mariculture. Fish farms may be a way to raise fish commercially in tanks or enclosures for perhaps food. A fish farm may harvest young fish. Fish farm may release fish into the wild to accommodate recreational fishing or to offset natural numbers. Fish farm may also be considering a fish hatchery. Fish raised by farms may be salmon, catfish, tuna, cod and others. Fish farmers might sell their fish to processors, grocery stores and restaurants. Fish farm may even raise fish in ponds and charge people a fee to catch the big one.
