How to Choose Food Facilities Consultants

If you follow these guidelines, though, you should be able to determine which consultants have the products and services that you need for your restaurant. When you first contact the consultants, you will want to determine how much experience they have by asking them how long they have been in the industry. Those with several years of experience should understand the hygiene standards for equipment, kitchens, ingredients, and food handling so that your customers are safe from food illnesses. Ask the techs if they have a connection with a factory supplier that produces quality processed, frozen, and canned products as well as fresh organic produce. This will allow you to plan meals with variety. If you provide packed meals, then they will also need access to a supplier with those items. Find out if they have plants that manufacture beverages and dairy products too. Ask the consultants to meet with you to discuss the layout of your restaurant. You will want to be able to pack a lot of items in storage, but you also need enough room to operate a kitchen and dining room safely. Get written price quotes from them so that you can compare their prices easily.
