Service stations are businesses where cars and other automobiles are serviced, repaired, and refueled. Service stations that sell gasoline and oil can also be called gas stations or filling stations. Service stations may also perform auto inspections for a fee. Service stations typically must meet state safety standards and must adhere to certain requirements, especially in regards to inspections and emissions testing. If you need an inspection sticker, need gas or oil refueling, or need your motor vehicle repaired or serviced, look up gasoline service stations in your area by checking out your local phone book or by looking online. Service stations can be small, local repair shops or large, nationally-owned franchises. Gas service stations or service centers can offer a variety of services, such as automotive repair, motor vehicle inspections and testing, evaluations for insurance purposes, car body work on old cars, oil change and lube, inspection stickers, residential or commercial oil delivery, petrol, natural gas delivery via truck, convenience store, equipment tune-ups, affordable oil and diesel, painting and detailing, air conditioning repair, and smog checks. Some offer eco-friendly choices as well. Ask friends and family for recommendations on service stations they trust for refueling and other needs, whether to buy gas, for an oil change, or for commercial petrol delivery. You can tell the latest retail price of gas for sale by the sign in front of the store, plus a minimum outline of services the station offers. To reduce risk of fire, be sure not to smoke while refueling. Make sure the station or supplier takes your credit card, and offers the cheap or expensive brand and grade of fuel, diesel, natural gas, or other petrol products you need to buy to fill tank at the pump.
