Because most people live in homes that cannot accommodate animals as large as horses or live in cites in towns that do not allow horses to be kept in residential homes, many horse owners keep their horses and ponies at horse boarding facilities. Horse boarding facilities are often called stables. Some stables have horse training facilities and offer horse training programs. Horse training facilities are places where people learn how to ride horses and where horses are trained to be ridden in certain manners. Most horse training facilities and horse riding schools offer classes in dressage riding, hunt seat riding, western pleasure riding, and basic horsemanship. Most horse riding schools have one-on-one classes as well as group classes.
