The resulting print will depend on certain brightness, absorption and reflectance characteristics of the media and its inkjet-receptive coating. In order to provide proper instructions to the print engine in terms of how much ink to lay down per pass, the software of your printing and lithographing equipment may need data about the color properties of your inks and your media.
