Internet on line services may provide access to the internet by phone lines, cable lines, ISDN and DSL systems, wireless networks and many other methods. If a person wants a fast connection to the internet that is always on, they will usually contact an internet on line service that offers cable, DSL or ISDN connections. If a person is more concerned with the cost of an internet connection than the connection speed, they will typically use a dial-up service, which is significantly slower than a high-speed connection, but is usually much cheaper.
