Some magazine dealers will deal in both new issues of magazines as well as back-issues. It is not uncommon for a magazine dealer to carry back issues of popular magazines, especially if the magazine in question has a collectible value. There are some magazines that might only be available at stores that specifically deal in magazines. Many adult magazines, for instance, are not sold at bookstores and newspaper stands, and can only be found at select magazine dealers. There are also many small-press and independent magazines that can be very difficult to find outside of a select magazine dealers stores.
