How to Work with Manufacturers
If you have chosen a manufacturer to construct your product, it can be important to come to agreements prior to signing any contracts. Make sure the manufacturer fully understands your expectations. It can be helpful to agree in advance to production schedules, costs and payment schedules. You may also find it useful to establish quality control steps that enable you to assess the process at specific points during the production. If the manufacturer is responsible for providing the raw materials, you may wish to have input on the suppliers. Keeping the lines of communication open can be the best way to ensure success.
