Whether you use a motor boat or a sailboat, you often need to keep it docked in a boat slip so that you can take it out whenever you decide to go boating. Some marinas require that you make reservations for certain choice boat slips, so you will want to make boating plans as soon as you know that you are going to go out on the water.
