Contacting Mexican places is also a good idea if you are hosting an event that needs catering, because they are often experienced in providing food for a large quantity of people at relatively low prices. When choosing a Mexican restaurant, you can go to the internet and type in key words. After generating a list of choices, contact the restaurant and ask them such questions as their restaurant rating, length of business, affiliated companies and committment to fresh food. Because these establishments are quite different in the style of food they serve—some are authentic Mexican restaurants, with barbecue and carnitas on the menu, others are more Tex-Mex or American, serving steaks and grilled vegetables, while others offer carry out and brunch with such food as tacos and fajitas —make sure that you know what the restaurant offers before signing a catering contract.
