Museums can collect and exhibit objects of scientific, artistic or historical value. Some museums are large and might take a whole day to view each exhibit. The smaller museums might take half a day to view each exhibit. Most museums offer programs and activities for people of all ages. Some of the programs and activities offered might be lectures, films, performances and other demonstrations. Local museums may focus on a specific regions culture and its history. Some museums might not allow visitors to come in personal contact with some of the artifacts while other museums might encourage visitors to interact with exhibits.
