Rebuilding or repairing a radiator can be a way to save money instead of purchasing a new radiator. There are generally two types of radiators: automobile radiators and building radiators. In a building the radiator is a heating device that consists of a series of connected pipes, typically inside an upright metal structure, through which steam or hot water is circulated. This steam or hot water heats up the metal structure, which then radiates heat into the surrounding room. In an automobile engine, the radiator is a cooling device through which water or other fluids flow to cool the engine. Either type of radiator can be expensive to replace, so many people choose to find a service that will repair or rebuild the existing radiator.
