How to find or choose recreational vehicle parks
Recreational vehicles, or RVs for short, are enclosed vehicles which serve as both a mode of transportation and temporary travel home. Often times, people use RVs to travel on vacation, parking the vehicles at a campground, as an alternative to paying high fees to stay at a park resort. Some people live in RVs and travel from campground to campground to get a feel for various places of living. Campers are similar to RVs but smaller. Also related are the motor coach, trailer, van, and fifth wheel. Parking an RV at a campground can make for a cheap and enjoyable vacation. Campers can enjoy outdoor camp sites, freshwater swimming, boating, wildlife, golf, and fishing. Using an RV for travel also means you can bring along your pets, without having to comply to a hotel’s rules about no pets. It’s also an alternative to pitching tents, if you’re not quite up to roughing it that much. You can park the RV at a campground, and voila--instant lodging and accommodations at your very own resort and park. If you’re interested in purchasing or renting a recreational vehicle, you can visit an RV dealership. You can find such dealerships by looking in your local phone book or by searching online directory listings. You can find many sale prices on RVs at dealerships or at traveling RV shows. Go online to research the type of RV you would like, compare brands and sale prices, and find RV dealerships near you. RV dealers sell recreational vehicles of all types, campers for travel, pick-up coaches, motorhome vehicles, supplies, and rental equipment. Such equipment can include haulers, trailers, pick-up campers, pick-up shells, cargo and utility supplies, bike supplies, sports trailers, motor homes, fifth wheel items, small and large campers, ATV accessories, and boat hitch supplies.

Because the RV Park doubles as a campground, they will usually have the proper accommodations to house your campers and trailers. Vacationers can stay at an RV park for a single weekend or for several days at a time, depending on how far or how long they wish to travel. RV Parks are typically open to anyone, even if they don't possess a proper RV but simply a trailer or a camper attached to a vehicle, although some parks restrict access to those with RVs that are a certain length or model. Some RV parks offer a great deal of amenities, while others pride themselves on sparse accommodation, contributing to a more “outdoorsy” stay. The RV owner can decide whether he or she wants to stay at a campground with luxury accommodation, or whether they prefer to “rough it.”
