Service stations are full-service gas stations. Service stations specialize in selling gas and in offering full-service gasoline service. Service stations employ attendants who fill up cars and trucks with gas, wash their windows, check their oil, and check their tire pressure. Most service stations also offer basic auto maintenance services such as oil and lube service, battery changing service, and tire rotation services. Some service stations offer advanced automobile maintenance and repair services and can fix just about any problem a car or truck has. Service stations only sell one brand of gas but usually sell different grades of gasoline and often sell diesel fuel as well. Many service stations are quite old as gas was once sold exclusively at service stations before the advent of the convenience store.
