Truck brokers provide bulk cargo delivery or hauling services for a variety of needs. Some carriers specialize in interstate courier services, while others work within a carefully proscribed circuit with only a few terminals. Express distribution costs more, of course, while rates for shipment that requires a number of different transportation methods (truck, trailer, rail line, flatbed, etcetera) are higher. Freight load sizes also help determine price, as does warehousing needs - cargo that must be stored for a time takes up space in the warehouse, adding to costs. Many trucking companies have an entire fleet at their disposal, allowing customers to save money through consolidation with others needing transit and cartage. Refrigerated trucks can save your products, but will cost more than trucks which aren't climate-controlled.
