One way to save money when you have moved into a new house is to purchase used home appliances at major discounts. You can often find gas and electric stoves, washing machine and dryers, and refrigerators at low prices at used appliance stores. Sometimes the appliances have been repaired, but often there are not any problems with them; they have simply been reconditioned in order to be resold. One way to find used appliances is to visit local home improvement stores and ask if they are having a clearance on their display models, which are usually in nearly the same condition as their new models. Or, you can visit stores that deal only in used appliances and furniture in order to find a larger selection.
